Andrew Feldman, Founder and Principal Consultant

Over the past three decades, Andrew Feldman's (Andy's) work has focused on helping public agencies use evidence and data to strengthen their results and impact.

Andy leads his consulting practice, the Center for Results-Focused Government, which he launched in 2021. Since then, the practice has added more than a dozen projects and continues to grow, including projects in Minnesota, New Mexico, Ohio, Wisconsin and at the federal level in Washington D.C.

Andy's previous experience includes: A founding member of the Evidence Team at the White House Office of Management and Budget; Special advisor for evidence-based policy at the U.S. Department of Education; Visiting fellow at the Brookings Institution's Center for Children and Families; One of the top three appointed leaders at Wisconsin’s labor department; Senior policy advisor for Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle; and Staff economist at the White House Council of Economic Advisors.

He has taught graduate-level public management courses at the Harvard Kennedy School, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and the University of Singapore. He also hosts the Gov Innovator podcast, with more than 200 interviews with results-focused leaders.

A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Andy earned a B.A. in economics from Swarthmore College, and an MPP and PhD in public policy from Harvard University. In 2017, he was elected a Fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration.

Andy lives in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He is a fan of cooking, art and travel, as well as the Green Bay Packers.
